Because I have
chosen not to go to a traditional brick-and-mortar school, I often get asked if
I miss the social college atmosphere. My answer is “no!” I actually feel like I
have more friends—older and younger—than the typical college student.
Not only do I
have more opportunities to interact with people of all ages (since I’m not
bound to a college campus), but I have also had the opportunity to connect with
the worldwide College Plus community! While the primary interaction occurs
online via the forums, Skype, Google Plus, Facebook, etc. face-to-face
gatherings are happening more frequently!
Recently my
brother Ben and I had the opportunity to go to a mini-gathering of CP students
in the northeast Texas area. We met at Cracker Barrel for lunch and then went
to a nearby park to play tennis and Ultimate Frisbee.

The awesome thing
about College Plus students is we’re all so different and unique! We work, we
do internships, we’re involved in ministries, we live in the “real world,” and
we live all over the world! J It’s been so neat to meet so many like-minded
young people over the past few months I’ve been a part of College Plus. It is
an awesome community of students!
