Wow! It's hard to believe that I've been in
Guatemala 9 days already! The time is flying by, and I can already tell it's
going to pass by too quickly. Praise God for His protection over all 8 interns
as we traveled here. No one has been sick. We all remained safe during the 7.1
earthquake on Monday. All of us have become best friends, and the Brans are our
Guatemalan parents and brothers.
Our first week was spent supporting the mission
team from Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, AR. Our days were spent
recording and listening to the Downline discipleship program that was taught.
Pastors came from literally all over Central America to participate in this
program! Sessions were held for men, women, and they did VBS for the children
too. Throw in a few soccer games, cooking for a couple hundred people every
day, and LOTS of little adventures, and you've got an amazing trip!
This week, we will be assisting another large
mission team with street evangelism. Please pray for rest for us interns; it
can be a bit hard to keep up with so many mission teams back-to-back. Three to
five hours of sleep per night isn't a lot. :-P Pray that God will minister
through us, work in our lives, and cause us to grow. Pray for continued safety
and health.
Thank you all for your support and your prayers!
God is at work here and it is SO exciting to be a part of it!

M and D are probably two of my favorite 15-year-olds. So much fun! :-) (Volcan de Agua and Antigua in the background.) |
My fellow interns. I love them all so much. They have truly become some of my best friends! |
